Wondering what the top-rated workplaces are in Canada?
According to a report released on Tuesday by Indeed, an online job site, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts leads the way, followed by Ledcor.
“With such a tight labour market and a low unemployment rate, there is a lot of competition in recruiting today. In order to stand out to job seekers, companies are continuing to evolve their overall employee experience in the hopes of attracting and retaining top talent for their open positions,” said Jodi Kasten, managing director at Indeed Canada.
“The 25 organizations on our list are considered among the best places to work and have worked hard to listen to the specific needs of their employees to provide an outstanding experience through strategic and thoughtful workplace programs.”

Indeed said it has over 600,000 company reviews in Canada. The companies that made Indeed’s Top-Rated Workplaces in Canada list are rated on the overall employee experience, which includes work-life balance, pay and benefits, job security and advancement, management and culture. Ratings represent reviews left between June 2016 and June 2018. Companies must have at least 50 reviews to be eligible.
Indeed, an international search engine for job listings, is a subsidiary of Japan’s Recruit Co. Ltd. Indeed is available in more than 60 countries and 28 languages.
The site aggregates job listings from thousands of websites, including job boards, staffing firms, associations and company career pages. Job seekers can apply directly to jobs on Indeed’s site, where they can also post and store resumes.
